Certification Exams and Study Groups AIRS (Alliance of Information and Referral Systems) awards professional credentials to individuals who successfully complete the AIRS Certification exams for I&R/A practitioners. Individuals who successfully pass the AIRS certification examination are awarded a certificate and may use credentials with their names for the following certifications:
Individuals who are AIRS certified have successfully demonstrated the competencies that Information and Referral/Assistance staff need to perform job-related duties effectively and efficiently. Certification has been validated by the national professional I&R/A organization, AIRS. To find out more about AIRS Certification, the application procedure, costs, and suggested study materials please visit the AIRS web site link at: WisconsinAIRS sponsors these exams in Wisconsin and provides study groups prior to the exams. Listed below is the exam and study group schedule. Please note the study groups are designed to support I&R/A Specialists taking the Certified Information Resource Specialist (CIRS) and the Certified Information Resource Specialist - Aging (CIRS-A) exams. At this time, study group format for Certified Resource Specialist (CRS) is being designed but study groups have not been scheduled. |
